PTA-RDC: Philippe Ngwala Malemba and State Minister Muhindo Nzangi on a Field Mission in Bokoro

State Minister Muhindo Nzangi, accompanied by Philippe Ngwala Malemba (FSRDC) and Ibrahim Hanouni (AfDB), carried out a field visit to Bokoro as part of the PTA-RDC.

# ** As part of the Agriculture Transformation Program (PTA-RDC), H.E. Muhindo NZANGI BUTONDO, State Minister of Agriculture and Food Security, together with Mr. Philippe NGWALA MALEMBA, National Coordinator of the Social Fund of the DRC (FSRDC), and Mr. Ibrahim HANOUNI, Principal Agricultural Economist at the African Development Bank (AfDB), carried out a field visit to Bokoro (Mai-Ndombe province) on October 7, 2025.** Objective: to mobilize rural communities around agricultural revival and assess the progress of work on the Mai-Ndombe pilot site. The State Minister emphasized: > “It is the culture of agriculture that we must revive. We had abandoned it, but the Head of State is asking us to rekindle this spirit.” He also announced stronger government logistical support and the mechanization of agricultural production. For his part, Mr. Philippe Ngwala Malemba praised the mobilization of local stakeholders and reaffirmed the commitment of the FSRDC to make the PTA-RDC a concrete lever for rural development and sustainable food security. Meanwhile, Mr. Ibrahim Hanouni, AfDB representative, stated: > “The DRC has immense agricultural potential. What we are seeing here in Bokoro is very encouraging.” The PTA-RDC, financed by the AfDB and coordinated by the FSRDC, is a presidential initiative launched by H.E.
