PAGDC-PTA: FSRDC engages with Kisangani Agricultural Institutes to strengthen youth and women entrepreneurship

FSRDC held working sessions with the Simisimi and Maendeleo Agricultural Institutes in Kisangani to strengthen youth and women entrepreneurship under the PAGDC-PTA.

**As part of its strategic mission in Kisangani, the Social Fund of the DRC (FSRDC), represented by Mr. Batalokutu Lombenda Urbain, Provincial Chief of Agency (Tshopo) and delegate of the National Coordinator Mr. Philippe NGWALA MALEMBA, held two working meetings on 27 November 2025 with the Simisimi and Maendeleo Agricultural Technical Institutes (ITA).** The sessions were conducted with: • Mr. Joseph ESAKALONGA ETOKALA – ITA Simisimi • Mr. Jean-Pierre BATCHONGONDUA WA LIATE – ITA Maendeleo The goal is to build bridges between basic agricultural training and opportunities offered by the PAGDC-PTA, empowering youth and women in entrepreneurship, innovation and agricultural value chains. Main outcomes include: • Agreement to establish a collaborative partnership • Strengthening of agricultural practice-based training • Support for youth entrepreneurship and innovation • Better integration into agricultural value chains This initiative aligns with the national vision of H.E. Félix Antoine Tshisekedi Tshilombo, promoting "Revenge of the soil over the subsoil" and youth empowerment. The PAGDC-PTA, coordinated by FSRDC with funding from the African Development Bank (AfDB), operates in five provinces: Kongo Central, Kasai Oriental, Tshopo, North Ubangi and South Ubangi. > Kisangani strengthens its capacity to turn youth and women into innovative agricultural entrepreneurs and drivers of change.
