The Social Fund of the Democratic Republic of Congo (FSRDC) has officially launched the mid-term review of the PADCA-6P Project — a key AfDB-supported initiative to strengthen food security and agricultural resilience across six provinces.

On November 10, 2025, at Vénus Hotel (Kinshasa), the Social Fund of the Democratic Republic of Congo (FSRDC) officially launched the Mid-Term Review of the Agricultural Value Chain Development Project in Six Provinces (PADCA-6P). Chaired by Mr. Diogène Finia, representing Mr. Philippe Ngwala Malemba, National Coordinator of FSRDC, the review will run from November 10 to 17, 2025. Objectives: Evaluate progress made since project inception; - Identify remaining challenges; - And strengthen implementation strategies to ensure lasting impact on food security and rural income generation. - Funded by the African Development Bank (AfDB), the PADCA-6P Project operates in the provinces of Kwilu, Kasaï, Haut-Lomami, Lomami, Maniema, and Tshopo. Initially scheduled for 2019–2024, the project has been extended to 2026 to consolidate achievements and maximize results. Since 2023, the project quality review has been led by FSRDC, ensuring efficiency, transparency, and strong performance in implementation. > This initiative aligns with President Félix-Antoine Tshisekedi Tshilombo’s vision — “the revenge of the soil over the subsoil” — reaffirming agriculture as a pillar of national development.
