FSRDC and MONUSCO launch strategic dialogue to support the professional transition of Congolese staff as the UN mission withdraws.

**On November 26, 2025, Mr. Philippe NGWALA MALEMBA, National Coordinator of the FSRDC, was received by Ms. Bintou Keita, Special Representative of the UN Secretary-General and Head of MONUSCO.** The discussions focused on the future of Congolese MONUSCO staff as the mission gradually withdraws from the country. To avoid massive job losses, MONUSCO aims to redeploy national expertise, in collaboration with the ILO (BIT) and the FSRDC, a key actor in professional integration in the DRC. FSRDC – A strategic engine for employment and self-employment FSRDC programs offer concrete pathways for transition: Program Purpose Coverage PAGDC-PTA Integration of 25,000 youth in employment & entrepreneurship Kongo Central, Kasai Oriental, Tshopo, Nord-Ubangi, Sud-Ubangi PADCV-PTA Strengthening agricultural value chains Kongo Central, Kasai Oriental, Lomami, Kwango, Mai-Ndombe, Sud Kivu A shared commitment to support career transition The meeting concluded with commitments to: • facilitate job placement & entrepreneurship for national personnel; • ensure a dignified and sustainable transition; • transform withdrawal into opportunity and empowerment. > The DRC is preparing a future where national expertise strengthens development and economic resilience.
