AfDB Supervision Mission for the PAGDC-PTA Project

The African Development Bank (AfDB) begins its supervision mission at FSRDC for the PAGDC-PTA project, a key initiative strengthening governance, skills, and inclusion in DRC’s agricultural transformation.

On November 12, 2025, the Social Fund of the Democratic Republic of Congo (FSRDC) hosted the African Development Bank (AfDB) supervision mission for the Governance and Skills Development Support Project (PAGDC-PTA) — a cornerstone of the Agriculture Transformation Program (PTA-RDC). The mission, led by **Mr. Raymond BESONG**, Chief Economist at the AfDB, was attended by **Mr. Nathan DIBWE, Deputy Coordinator of FSRDC** representing Mr. Philippe NGWALA MALEMBA, National Coordinator, alongside Mr. Didier MUBINZI, Project Manager, and program experts. Objectives: - Assess project progress since the previous supervision mission (May 2025); - Review previous resolutions; - Identify remaining challenges; - And recommend corrective actions to enhance overall project performance. The mission, running until November 14, 2025, aims to further align PAGDC-PTA results with President Félix-Antoine Tshisekedi Tshilombo’s vision: > “ The revenge of the soil over the subsoil.” Coordinated by the Social Fund of the DRC (FSRDC) and financed by the African Development Bank (AfDB), the PAGDC-PTA Project focuses on: - Strengthening institutional governance, - Enhancing technical skills, - And promoting youth and women’s inclusion in agricultural transformation across the DRC.
