Kongo Central: PADCV-PTA Strengthens Transparency and Community Participation on the Ground

Kongo Central, since February 12, 2026 – The Social Fund of the Democratic Republic of Congo (FSRDC) is currently in the field on a mission to give a human and participatory dimension to agricultural transformation.

An FSRDC team is deployed in Kongo Central province at the agricultural sites of partner aggregators: Nouvelle Vie, Fondation Bak'Agri, and SCODAMA. The goal is to embed the principles of transparency and equity at the heart of the PADCV-PTA project.

Mission Objectives on the Ground

• ️ Raise awareness among households about the project's benefit-sharing key, ensuring a clear understanding of the outcomes.
• ️ Establish household committees to guarantee local, inclusive, and transparent governance.
• ️ Strengthen environmental and social safeguard mechanisms for sustainable development that respects communities.

An Expert Mission

The mission is led by Rody DIYABANZA, Head of the PADCV-PTA Project, representing Mr. Philippe NGWALA MALEMBA, National Coordinator of the FSRDC. He is accompanied by Blaise MVUMBI, an international expert in environmental and social safeguards.

A Human-Centered Vision for Agricultural Development

Funded by the African Development Bank (AfDB) and part of President Félix Antoine Tshisekedi Tshilombo's vision, the PADCV-PTA embodies the "revenge of the soil on the subsoil" by placing people at the heart of agricultural development.

In the field, a fairer, more inclusive, and more efficient agriculture is taking shape, day by day, with and for the communities.
