In response to the demands of sustainable development, the Democratic Republic of the Congo has committed to leveraging cutting-edge technologies to serve both the environment and local communities: Support to the Artisanal and Small-Scale Mining Assistance and Supervision Service (SAEMAPE) for the structuring of mining cooperatives in the gold sector and the creation of a sovereign digital monetary instrument backed by gold and recognized as a tangible legal tender asset. Tokenization of natural resources at the community level to ensure transparency, traceability, and ethical transactions, with the aim of creating and equitably sharing wealth. Gold resource traceability will be ensured not only through the security of blockchain-based transactions but also via an innovative drone transport system. Placed under the High Patronage of the President of the Republic, Head of State, His Excellency Félix Antoine Tshisekedi Tshilombo, the Social Fund of the Democratic Republic of the Congo (FSRDC) has entered into a groundbreaking partnership with Phoenix Capital B.V. for the implementation of the AXIS National Program. This partnership represents a historic shift in the governance model of strategic natural resources for the benefit of local communities and marks a decisive step toward sustainable and ethical development in the region. The innovative technologies to be deployed through this partnership form part of the tools serving the Green Corridor of the Congo Basin.
