The Social Fund of the DRC (FSRDC) is preparing the mid-term review of the AfDB-funded PADCA-6P project to strengthen agricultural performance, food security, and rural value chains across six provinces of the country.
# **On October 27, 2025, the Social Fund of the Democratic Republic of Congo (FSRDC) held an important preparatory meeting at its headquarters in Kinshasa to launch the Mid-Term Review of the Agricultural Value Chain Development Project in Six Provinces (PADCA-6P).** The session, chaired by Mr. Diogène FINIA, on behalf of Mr. Philippe NGWALA MALEMBA, National Coordinator of FSRDC, aimed to present the methodology and mission timeline scheduled from October 28 to November 3, 2025. The PADCA-6P project, funded by the African Development Bank (AfDB), seeks to improve food and nutrition security while increasing rural incomes through sustainable agricultural development. Implemented in the provinces of Kwilu, Kasai, Haut-Lomami, Lomami, Maniema, and Tshopo, this strategic project—initially planned for 2019–2024—has been extended to December 31, 2026, to consolidate its achievements. Since 2023, the project’s Quality Review has been managed by the Social Fund of the DRC (FSRDC), ensuring greater efficiency and transparency in implementation. This stage represents a turning point in the project’s trajectory, positioning Congolese farmers at the center of rural transformation and sustainable development.
