FSRDC – WFP Partnership: Field Immersion at Lynye Agropastoral Farm

FSRDC and WFP carried out a field visit to Lynye Agropastoral Farm to strengthen their strategic partnership under the PTA-RDC.

**On September 27, 2025, the Deputy Director of the World Food Programme (WFP) in the DRC, Mr. OLLO SIB, together with Mr. Philippe NGWALA MALEMBA, National Coordinator of the Social Fund of the DRC (FSRDC), conducted a visit to the Lynye Agropastoral Farm, located in the N’sele commune, on the outskirts of Kinshasa.** The objective of this mission was to present to FSRDC a concrete model of WFP’s operational approach as part of the strategic partnership being prepared for the implementation of the Agriculture Transformation Program (PTA-RDC), particularly in South Kivu province. This visit showcased how such an initiative could be integrated and replicated nationwide, especially in the second phase of the Community School Canteens Project. **Highlights of the visit:** - Tour of the administrative block, fish ponds, and agricultural plots (watermelons, okra, etc.) - On-site tasting of harvested products - Direct exchanges with local women producers and solidarity purchases of their products This enriching experience ended on a note of general satisfaction, demonstrating the joint commitment of FSRDC and WFP to strengthening food security, community resilience, and local value addition in the DRC.
