FSRDC and ARMCA initiate a strategic partnership under the AXIS Program to transform carbon assets into sustainable financing tools for community development in the DRC.
On Friday, January 9, 2026, the Fonds Social de la République Démocratique du Congo (FSRDC) hosted Mr. Guy Nsimba Binsimpi, Director General of the Carbon Market Regulation Agency (ARMCA), for a strategic working session chaired by Mr. Philippe Ngwala Malemba, National Coordinator of FSRDC.
Discussions focused on the tokenization of carbon assets within the framework of the AXIS Program, a presidential initiative aimed at promoting transparent, traceable, and inclusive management of carbon resources for the direct benefit of Congolese communities.
> Carbon as a Sustainable Financing Lever
Coordinated by FSRDC in partnership with Phoenix Capital BV, the AXIS Program seeks to transform carbon into a structured lever for autonomous local development financing, aligning financial innovation, environmental governance, and sustainable social impact.
The exchanges covered the presentation of the AXIS Program pillars, collaboration areas between FSRDC and ARMCA, and mechanisms designed to convert carbon assets into tangible opportunities for communities, including infrastructure development, enhanced social services, and green job creation.
This strategic convergence marks a new step toward sustainable, sovereign, and inclusive development, in line with the vision of the Head of State, where environmental resources become drivers of economic and social progress.
