FSRDC and ANADEC/ Tshopo initiate a strategic collaboration to strengthen youth employability and entrepreneurship in Kisangani under the PAGDC-PTA project.
On 26 November 2025, the Social Fund of the Democratic Republic of Congo (FSRDC) and the provincial office of ANADEC – Tshopo held a strategic working session in Kisangani to explore collaboration within the framework of the PAGDC-PTA project. The main objective is to enhance youth skills development, entrepreneurship and socio-professional integration, especially in high-potential agricultural value chains. The meeting was chaired by Mr. Pierrot KASE MAKANZA, Provincial Director of ANADEC – Tshopo, with the participation of: - Mr. Batalokutu Lombenda Urbain, FSRDC Chief of Agency/Tshopo, representing National Coordinator Mr. Philippe NGWALA MALEMBA, - Mr. André Okou, Entrepreneurship Expert of PAGDC-PTA, and technical teams from both institutions. Both parties agreed on practical collaboration avenues aimed at empowering youth, including: capacity building & professional training support to youth entrepreneurship in agriculture promotion of innovation and job creation alignment with agricultural value chains This initiative aligns with the national vision of "Revenge of the soil over the subsoil", promoted by H.E. Félix-Antoine Tshisekedi Tshilombo. The PAGDC-PTA project, coordinated by FSRDC and funded by the African Development Bank (AfDB), operates across five provinces: Kongo Central, Kasai Oriental, Tshopo, North Ubangi, and South Ubangi. A new momentum is now underway in Kisangani to empower youth and strengthen agricultural transformation in the DRC.
