Closing of the national workshop on cooperative structuring: FSRDC reaffirms its commitment to agricultural transformation

In Kinshasa, during the closing session of the national workshop on cooperatives, the FSRDC reaffirmed its strong commitment to agricultural transformation.

**On December 4, 2025, the national workshop on cooperative structuring and support closed in Kinshasa at Sultani River Hotel, under the chairmanship of H.E. Grégoire Mutomb, Minister of State for Rural Development.** The FSRDC was represented by Mr. Rody Diabanza, Project Lead of PADCV-PTA, speaking on behalf of the National Coordinator, Mr. Philippe Ngwala Malemba. A strong message for agricultural transformation In his remarks, Mr. Diabanza reaffirmed the FSRDC’s commitment to driving agricultural transformation in the DRC, as initiated by the Head of State through the PTA-RDC program. The PTA-RDC aims to: • strengthen agricultural cooperatives, • boost rural economic productivity, • expand job creation for youth and rural communities, • modernize agricultural value chains nationwide. A program powered by partnership The PTA-RDC is coordinated by the FSRDC and funded by the African Development Bank (AfDB), a key strategic partner supporting agricultural transformation and local empowerment. This closing session sets a new momentum for building stronger, more competitive cooperatives contributing to national food security and inclusive economic growth.
